Bookkeeping Cleanup & Catch-Up
Behind on your books?
We can help.
Whether you’re one month or two years behind, we’ll review your situation, create a plan, and help get your books back on track. No judgment. No panic. Just a clear path forward.
Sound familiar?
We work with business owners in all of these situations. If any of these describe you, we’re the right call.
Behind on bookkeeping
Whether you’re one month or two years behind, we’ve seen it before. We’ll review what you have, fill in the gaps, and get your books current — without judgment.
Stressed about taxes
Tax season shouldn’t feel like a crisis. If you’re scrambling to find receipts and reconstruct a year of transactions, we can clean it up and make sure you’re filing accurately.
Facing an IRS notice or deadline
An IRS letter is stressful, but it’s not the end of the world. We’ll help you understand what’s being asked, get your records in order, and respond correctly. If a tax deadline is the immediate pressure, see our tax deadline emergency page.
Applying for a loan or line of credit
Lenders want clean financials — a current P&L, a balance sheet, and organized records. We’ll get your books in shape so you can walk into that conversation with confidence.
Ready to switch bookkeepers
If your current bookkeeper is behind, unresponsive, or just not a good fit, we make the transition easy. We’ll take over your books and pick up right where things left off.
Starting fresh after a rough year
Sometimes the books just got away from you. No shame in that. We’ll help you close out the mess, start clean, and build a system that actually works going forward.
What we fix
Messy books usually come from the same handful of problems. We’ve cleaned up all of them — many times over.
- Months or years of uncategorized transactions
- Disconnected or broken bank feeds
- Duplicate entries and data entry errors
- Mismatched bank reconciliations
- Missing income or expense records
- Incorrect chart of accounts setup
- Payroll that was never recorded properly
- Loans and credit cards not tracked correctly
- Owner draws and contributions out of balance
- Prior year books that need to match tax returns
I was two years behind on my books and completely overwhelmed. Angela reviewed everything, gave me a clear plan, and had my books cleaned up in about three weeks. I finally feel like I know where my business stands.
How it works
We keep the process simple. No long contracts, no confusing onboarding. Just a clear plan and steady progress.
Tell us where things stand
Fill out a short form or give us a call. Let us know how far behind you are, what software you use (if any), and what’s causing the most stress right now.
We review your situation
We’ll take a look at what you have — bank statements, existing records, prior returns — and give you an honest assessment of what needs to be done and what it will cost.
We build a plan and get to work
Once you approve the plan, we start the cleanup. We work in QuickBooks Online and communicate with you throughout so there are no surprises.
You get clean books and a clear path forward
When we’re done, your books are current, your reports are accurate, and you have a clear picture of your business finances — plus a plan to keep them that way.
What does bookkeeping cleanup cost?
Cleanup pricing depends on how far behind you are, how many accounts need to be reconciled, and the volume of transactions. Most catch-up projects run $300–$1,500 depending on scope. We’ll give you a flat-rate quote after reviewing your situation — no hourly surprises.

How far behind is too far behind?
There’s no such thing as too far behind. We’ve cleaned up books that were 3–4 years out of date. The further behind you are, the more work it takes — but it’s always fixable.
Do I need QuickBooks?
We work primarily in QuickBooks Online. If you don’t have it, we can set it up as part of the cleanup. If you’re using another system, we’ll discuss the best path forward during your free review.
What do I need to provide?
Typically: bank and credit card statements for the period we’re cleaning up, access to your QuickBooks file (if you have one), and any prior tax returns. We’ll give you a specific list after the initial review.
How long does cleanup take?
Most projects take 1–4 weeks depending on scope. We’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront so you know what to expect.
Can you also do my taxes once the books are clean?
Yes. Angela is an IRS Registered Tax Return Preparer (PTIN holder) and can handle your business and personal returns once your books are in order. Many clients start with cleanup and then move to ongoing monthly bookkeeping and tax prep.
Ready to stop worrying about your books?
Tell us where things stand and we’ll give you an honest assessment — what needs to be done, how long it will take, and what it will cost. No obligation.
